Xiaomi is preparing to make significant changes in terms of technical specifications with its latest flagship. Recent posts from China revealed details about the RAM and storage specifications of the Xiaomi 14 models.
Xiaomi 14 will push the limits with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 12GB RAM
Xiaomi has adopted 8GB of RAM in recent years, from its flagship series Mi 10 to the Xiaomi 13. According to the latest rumors, Xiaomi will upgrade the amount of RAM in the Xiaomi 14 after seeing the demand for devices with a high amount of memory capacity.
The Chinese company will offer the base variant of the Xiaomi 14 series with 12GB of RAM. This development suggests that the base model will also have a high RAM capacity and will follow its higher versions in terms of performance.
Along with the RAM capacity, some changes are also expected on the storage side. While versions up to 1TB will be offered, the base storage size is unclear for now. So it could start from 12GB RAM + 128GB or 12GB RAM + 256GB storage.
As you know, Android models released in recent months have featured very high RAM capacities from 12GB to 24GB. We know that Xiaomi is also experimenting with 24GB RAM with the Redmi K60 Ultra. In fact, this device will be offered to the global market as 13T Pro.
Higher storage variants may also bring advanced UFS 4.0 storage. The 128GB version of the Xiaomi 13 used UFS 3.1. The difference in write/read speed between the two technologies is almost double.
The Xiaomi 14 series is expected to be introduced between October and November with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
