Countdown has begun for the new member of Xiaomi’s 14 series, the 14 Ultra, which was unveiled towards the end of last year. The Chinese company aims to introduce the Ultra a bit later than previous series, and as part of this, new leaks and reports are emerging day by day. Recently, new technical details about the Xiaomi 14 Ultra have been shared. Here are the features and launch date!
Xiaomi 14 Ultra comes with an under-screen selfie camera – Xiaomi 14 Ultra features
According to reports shared by GSMChina, Xiaomi 14 Ultra will feature an under-display selfie camera, a feature not seen in the Ultra series until now. According to the source, the Chinese brand will not abandon the standard punch-hole design, offering the phone in two versions – one with an under-display selfie camera and the other with a standard one.
The Xiaomi 14 Ultra will include a single-point ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The technology developed by the Chinese company is claimed to be more precise and secure than the optical fingerprint reader used in current flagship models.
The smartphone will feature a 1-inch Sony LYT900 main camera. This sensor is presented as an optimized version of the IMX9898 found in Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi 12S Ultra, and Xiaomi 13 Pro.
As seen above, Xiaomi’s Ultra models have been using a 1-inch camera for several generations, and the 14 Ultra will continue this trend. In addition to the main camera, three auxiliary sensors with a resolution of 50 megapixels each are expected. The device is also expected to feature a 5,500 mAh battery.
The 14 Ultra will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. Qualcomm continues its collaboration with TSMC for the new processor, manufactured using 4 nm technology. The processor will include 1 ARM Cortex-X4 core at 3.3 GHz, 3 ARM Cortex-A720 cores at 3.2 GHz, 2 ARM Cortex-A720 cores at 3.0 GHz, and 2 ARM Cortex-A520 cores at 2.3 GHz. Additionally, the new chipset will feature an Adreno 750 graphics unit with Ray Tracing support. According to rumors, the device is expected to be unveiled in April 2024.
