Xiaomi has announced its new price-performance phone, the 15T Pro series. Compared to the 14T Pro, the new model offers significant differences not only in performance and camera, but also in many other areas, including durability, display, battery, and charging speeds.
Xiaomi 15T Pro vs. 14T Pro
The Xiaomi 15T Pro features a more durable 6M13 aluminum alloy body. The new model’s durability is 330 N/mm, while the 14T Pro’s is 281 N/mm. There’s also a difference in screen protection; the 15T Pro is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, while the 14T Pro uses Gorilla Glass 5.

The new model boasts a 6.83-inch AMOLED display, larger than the 14T Pro’s 6.67-inch panel. Both displays offer a 144Hz refresh rate and 3840Hz PWM dimming support. The 14T Pro offers a more advantageous display with a peak brightness of 4000 nits, while the 15T Pro remains at 3200 nits. In contrast, the 15T Pro delivers sharper images with a resolution of 1280 x 2772 pixels.
The Xiaomi 15T Pro uses MediaTek’s flagship Dimensity 9400+ chip, manufactured on a 3nm process. This processor, with its Cortex-X925 cores clocked at up to 3.63 GHz and Immortalis-G925 GPU, delivers a significant performance boost.
The 14T Pro, on the other hand, features the older Dimensity 9300+ and Immortalis-G720 GPU. While both devices are smooth in daily use, the 15T Pro clearly outperforms in gaming and multitasking.
Battery capacity has increased from 5000 mAh in the 14T Pro to 5500 mAh in the 15T Pro. However, the charging speeds are reversed. The 14T Pro fully charges in just 19 minutes with 120W fast charging. The 15T Pro takes 36 minutes to fully charge with 90W support. Both models also feature 50W wireless charging.
Both devices feature a triple camera system developed in collaboration with Leica. While the main camera (50MP) and ultra-wide-angle camera (12MP) are shared, the telephoto lens makes a significant difference. The 15T Pro offers 5x optical zoom with a 50MP periscope telephoto lens.
The 14T Pro, on the other hand, is limited to a 2.6x zoom with a standard 50MP telephoto lens. On the video front, the 15T Pro offers 8K 30fps shooting. These features give the 15T Pro a clear advantage in terms of photography and video performance. Both devices feature a 32MP front-facing camera, but the 15T Pro’s wider 21mm angle offers an advantage for group selfies.
The Xiaomi 14T Pro remains a strong value for money option at around $700. The 15T Pro comes in at around $900. The new model offers a more durable body, longer battery life, powerful performance, and an improved camera.
The 14T Pro is a more attractive option for users seeking a fast-charging, affordable flagship, while the 15T Pro is a more attractive option for those prioritizing durability, battery life, and camera quality.
