Xiaomi is preparing to take the stage at the end of September with its new flagship series. It is stated that the Xiaomi 16 series will consist of four models: Xiaomi 16, Xiaomi 16 Pro, a smaller-screened Pro variant, and Xiaomi 16 Ultra. The series will include a compact Pro model for the first time.
Xiaomi 16 series will be introduced
According to the leaked information, the Pro models will be offered with two different screen sizes, 6.3 and 6.8 inches. It is stated that the standard model will also have a 6.3-inch screen. It is emphasized that both Pro models will have a periscope telephoto lens, and thus a significant improvement is expected on the camera side. It is said that the Xiaomi 16 Ultra may have a second screen on the back surface, which was previously seen in the Mi 11 Ultra model.

It is seen that the camera module has been completely redesigned in the new series. A wide, horizontally aligned camera layout covering most of the back panel is mentioned. The lens protectors claimed to belong to the devices were also among the leaks confirming this claim.
All models in the series will use Qualcomm’s new generation chipset Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, which will be introduced in September. Developed with TSMC’s 3-nanometer production process, this processor is based on the second-generation Oryon architecture. Data from the first performance tests show that the processor achieves results above 4,000 points in single-core and 11,000 points in multi-core.
Xiaomi is making a remarkable update in both design and performance with its new series. In particular, innovations in the camera system and the increase in power on the processor side will further toughen the brand’s competition in the upper segment.
