The countdown has begun for the Xiaomi 16 series, which is expected to be unveiled in September. According to reliable sources, the new series will include three different models: Xiaomi 16, 16 Pro Mini, and Pro. Recent developments have revealed new details about these devices.
What will the Xiaomi 16 series offer?
Leaks suggest that the standard model will deliver balanced and versatile performance. Notably, all models in the Xiaomi 16 series are said to feature a 50 MP front camera. For comparison, previous generation models came with a 32 MP selfie camera.

The model known as the Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini is expected to include premium hardware such as a large main camera, a periscope telephoto lens, and wireless charging. Despite these features, it will reportedly come with a smaller battery compared to the standard model.
However, this is not final, and efforts to increase the battery capacity are reportedly ongoing.
The Xiaomi 16 Pro Mini is expected to feature a 6.3-inch display, while the Xiaomi 16 Pro may come with a 6.8-inch screen. The standard model is anticipated to have a display size of around 6.5 inches. All models in the lineup will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset.
Xiaomi is also expected to expand the lineup in the first half of 2026 with the addition of the Xiaomi 16 Ultra and Xiaomi 16S Pro. The 16S Pro is rumored to feature the next-generation Xring O2 processor, while it remains unclear whether the 16 Ultra will use the same chip or stick with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.
