Xiaomi has launched its new robot vacuum cleaner series, the Robot Vacuum 5 and Robot Vacuum 5 Pro, equipped with the latest technology. Both models aim to make home cleaning an effortless and superior experience. Here are the details and features.
Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 features a triple camera system
Both members of the new series boast an impressive 20,000Pa of suction power, easily removing dust, pet hair, and even larger debris. Both devices feature a smart radar system with dToF (Direct Time-of-Flight) technology for navigation.
The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 Pro, the flagship model of the series, stands out with its smart features. Thanks to its retractable dToF radar, it can easily clean under furniture with gaps as small as 9.5 cm.
The Robot Vacuum 5 Pro features artificial intelligence (AI) functions supported by a triple camera system. This allows users to instantly adjust their cleaning strategies by activating features such as dirt detection and obstacle avoidance, allowing them to easily maneuver around clutter in the home.
The device’s station offers mop cleaning with 80°C hot water. Its smart mode works with preset water temperatures and automatically initiates rewash cycles when it detects dirt. This keeps mop pads hygienic with less manual effort.
The Xiaomi Robot Vacuum 5 model also features the same 20,000Pa suction power and dToF radar. However, it uses a different system for obstacle detection. The system, called S-Cross Dual-Line Structured Light, identifies irregular objects, prevents collisions, and enables the device to follow efficient cleaning paths.
The Robot Vacuum 5’s charging station significantly simplifies maintenance with features such as customizable water temperature, self-cleaning trays, and a two-hour hot air drying time. Both models are designed to ensure no cleaning is missed. The dual-extension mop arm and side brush provide full access to corners.
Powered by a 5200mAh battery, the vacuum cleaners offer up to 140 minutes of continuous runtime on a single charge, allowing even large areas to be cleaned at once. Remote scheduling and cleaning mode selection are possible by connecting with the Xiaomi Smart Home app. They also offer voice control thanks to Alexa and Google Assistant support.
