Xiaomi has introduced its next-generation AI-powered security camera, the Outdoor Camera 4. The company has replaced the previously used dual-camera system with a compact single-camera design for this model. The camera stands out with its image quality, light management, and AI-based tracking features.

The new device is equipped with an 8-megapixel CMOS sensor with an f/1.6 aperture. Thanks to this sensor, the camera can provide high-resolution images in both day and night conditions.

HDR support provides more balanced exposure, especially in variable light conditions, preventing loss of detail. For night patrol functionality, the camera features a dual white light and dual infrared light system. This system is activated only when human movement is detected, thus saving energy and reducing light pollution.

The Outdoor Camera 4 utilizes AI-based image processing algorithms. The system can distinguish between people and vehicles in the field of view. The camera automatically tracks identified moving targets.

This feature, developed for security purposes, expands the monitoring area. The audible and visual alarm system sends instant notifications in case of emergency. The device also features two-way audio communication, an automatic response system, and high-frequency flash support.

The camera, which supports Wi-Fi 6, can operate both wirelessly and via Ethernet. The IP66-certified model is water and dust resistant, making it suitable for use in a variety of outdoor conditions. The camera is available in the Chinese market for 249 yuan, or approximately $34.
