A crucial period is approaching for Xiaomi users. Numerous devices, from the company’s flagship Mi series to the popular Redmi Note and POCO series, will stop receiving software support starting in 2026. This means they will not receive major Android upgrades, HyperOS updates, or critical security patches. Here are the details.
These Xiaomi models will no longer receive updates
According to the comprehensive list, many devices will unfortunately reach “End of Life (EOL)” status before they can upgrade to HyperOS 3, or some will even receive the Android 14-based HyperOS 2 update.

Most of the devices on the list stopped receiving major Android updates months ago. Starting next year, their security update cycles will also end. This means these devices will no longer receive any software updates unless a critical security vulnerability is discovered.
You can check whether your device has reached the end of software support and decide whether you should upgrade by using the list below. These devices will not be upgraded to HyperOS 3, the latest major release of HyperOS, and software support will be discontinued starting in 2026.
