Xiaomi, known for offering models appealing to various segments of the smartphone market, is now stepping up with a new flagship series. The Redmi Turbo 3, which has been the subject of leaks for a while, was officially announced today for the first time.
Featuring OIS-supported 200-megapixel main camera and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor Xiaomi’s new flagship series, dubbed the Redmi Turbo 3, is enchanting with its many features. However, the device was introduced with a processor not typically seen in flagship models. Powering the Redmi Turbo 3 is the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor.
200 Megapixel main camera with OIS support and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor
Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 boasts a configuration of 1x 3.0 GHz Cortex-X4 core, four Cortex-A720 cores running at 2.8 GHz, and 3x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A520 cores. The Redmi Turbo 3 scored 2023 points in the Geekbench 6 single-core test and 5659 points in the multi-core test, surpassing the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
As Xiaomi announced, the Redmi Turbo 3 scored 1,754,299 on AnTuTu, placing it among the top-tier models. Looking at the promotional images, we see two cameras arranged vertically on the back panel, with one being an OIS-supported 200-megapixel main camera. Xiaomi, in its announcement, only shared the model’s design, processor, and AnTuTu score, mentioning that the device will be available for sale on April 10.
Furthermore, according to previously leaked information, the device is expected to come out of the box with Android 14-based HyperOS. It’s anticipated to feature a 90W fast-charging 5,500 mAh battery and a 6.67-inch 1220p OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate on the front panel. The Redmi Turbo 3, set to be unveiled in China in April, will be known as the POCO F6 in the global market.
