Xiaomi has officially expanded its smart home ecosystem in China by launching the new Mijia 5HP floor-standing air conditioner. Designed specifically for large interior spaces ranging from 50 to 80 square meters, this robust cooling and heating solution is now available on JD.com for 7,999 yuan. By integrating advanced compressor technology with smart connectivity, Xiaomi aims to provide an efficient climate control solution for both residential properties and compact commercial environments. The device stands out for its ability to handle extreme temperature fluctuations while maintaining consistent performance, marking a significant entry for the company into the high-capacity climate control market.

Unlike many conventional models that rely on auxiliary electric heating, this unit operates exclusively via high-efficiency heat pump technology. 
Air circulation is managed by a 120mm fan wheel housed in the interior unit, which can output 1,850 cubic meters of air per hour. The airflow reaches up to 17 meters and spreads across a wide 115-degree angle. Furthermore, the four-way adjustable airflow ensures that users can direct the temperature precisely where needed, avoiding direct drafts to maintain a comfortable environment during extended usage periods.
Energy Efficiency and Smart Features are Integrated
In addition to its raw power, the Mijia 5HP floor-standing air conditioner is designed with sustainability in mind. By maintaining a Class 1 energy efficiency rating, the unit can save users an estimated 972kWh of electricity annually compared to standard older models. Maintenance is simplified through a cloud-based diagnostic system capable of identifying 122 potential hardware issues, such as filter clogs or low refrigerant levels. The unit also features an automated self-cleaning cycle that uses 58°C heat to sanitize the internal evaporator.
