Xiaomi, which stands out in the Android market for its abundance of models, doesn’t leave these devices without updates, even when it announces new models. The company, which is also a leader in software updates, announced last year that its commitment to software updates for up to six years would not be limited to its flagship models. Here are the Xiaomi models that will receive six years of updates.
Long-Term Software Support from Xiaomi
The tech giant first offered its six-year update promise to flagship models like the Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The list quickly expanded. Thanks to this innovation, users’ devices will receive Android updates for up to a certain period for six years, and then receive security updates thereafter.
Here is the list of Xiaomi phones and tablets that offer six-year software support:
- Xiaomi 15
- Xiaomi 15 Ultra
- Xiaomi Pad 7
- Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro
- Poco F7
- Poco F7 Pro
- Poco F7 Ultra
- Redmi Note 14 (4G)
These devices will receive security updates for a total of six years. While security updates don’t bring new features or visual changes, they do protect the device from newly discovered vulnerabilities.
Xiaomi models not listed will also receive four major Android operating system updates. These updates will bring versions like the upcoming Android 16-based HyperOS 3 update.
