Xiaomi SU7’s waiting time approached one year
Introduced in March 2024, the SU7 was offered for sale in three different versions: Standard, Pro and Max. With prices ranging from $ 29,840 to $ 41,420, deliveries started quite quickly for the models. However, the delivery time of the Standard model now varies between 35-38 weeks, the Pro model 33-36 weeks, and the Max version 28-31 weeks.
Normally, as production capacity increases in the electric vehicle market, delivery times are expected to shorten, while Xiaomi SU7 is experiencing the opposite situation. According to the company’s statements, the SU7 has received almost 248 thousand orders since its launch and made more than 135 thousand deliveries throughout 2024. However, it is stated that more than 140 thousand vehicles are still waiting to reach their owners.

On the other hand, Xiaomi’s new performance-oriented model SU7 Ultra was put on sale earlier this year with a starting price of $ 73,180. As of 2 March, the waiting period for the model, whose deliveries started, varies between 9-12 weeks.
Xiaomi’s factory in Beijing has an annual production capacity of 150 thousand vehicles. However, due to higher than expected demand, the company plans to double the capacity by commissioning the second production line. This move will further strengthen Xiaomi’s claim in the electric vehicle sector.
