Xiaomi keeps expanding its product lineup, and the Chinese brand has been hard at work on the POCO X8 Pro for quite a while. Recent developments suggest the device has cleared a major hurdle before its official launch. Here’s what we know!
POCO X8 Pro Gets EEC Certification
The POCO X8 Pro has received EEC certification under model number 2511FPC34G. While the listing doesn’t spill any technical specs, it’s a strong sign that the launch is just around the corner.

It’s no secret that rebranding is a common strategy among Chinese tech companies. So, it’s expected that the X8 Pro will be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 5. If these rumors hold true, both devices will share essentially the same features, even with different names and designs.
According to earlier reports, the Redmi Turbo 5 (POCO X8 Pro) will feature a 6.6-inch flat OLED display with 1.5K resolution. Powering the device will be the Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor, and it’s said to have a slim, lightweight design with a metal mid-frame.
The Redmi Turbo 5 is also anticipated to sport an LTPS OLED display offering 1.5K resolution. This wide panel, with its rounded corners, will contribute to the device’s modern aesthetic. Design-wise, expect a metal mid-frame and a clean, simple rear camera setup.
While the latest leak didn’t specify the screen size, previous information pointed to a 6.6-inch panel. Plus, the device is rumored to pack a robust 7,000 mAh battery, promising excellent battery life despite its expected affordable price point.
