Jetour, the adventure-focused sub-brand of Chery, has launched pre-sales for a limited production version of its Traveller model, dubbed the ‘Interstellar Guardian’. Unveiled at the 2024 Beijing Motor Show, the special SUV was designed as part of Jetour’s JMK customisation programme and is available with a price tag of 205,900 yuan (approximately USD 28,300).
Interstellar Guardian coming soon
The Interstellar Guardian takes the Traveller’s angular design and makes it more aggressive with radical lines and cosmic details. The redesigned black front grille, bumper and tactical lighting elements create a striking appearance.

Aerodynamic add-ons reduce wind noise and energy consumption, while fighter jet-inspired alloy wheels improve heat dissipation and durability. Under the bonnet of the SUV is the Traveller’s powerful 2.0T turbocharged engine.
This engine produces 254 horsepower and 390 Nm of torque and is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. It is also integrated with Jetour’s latest XWD ‘Fully Automatic Intelligent 4WD’ system, BorgWarner’s 6th generation torque manager and intelligent differential lock.
The vehicle offers ‘7+X’ driving modes, including an AI-powered ‘x mode’ that adapts to off-road conditions in 0.15 seconds. The 19-inch all-terrain tyres provide superior grip and water evacuation, enhancing off-road performance.
As a factory customised version of Jetour’s best-selling Traveller model, the Interstellar Guardian aims to carve its own niche among tough off-roaders like the Tank 300. Pre-orders have started and deliveries are expected in the third quarter of 2025.
