YouTube Music has offered a new solution to the volume fluctuations frequently voiced by mobile users. The “Consistent Sound” feature, which is gradually being introduced to Android and iOS platforms, provides a more balanced music experience by reducing sudden volume changes between different songs.
YouTube Music improves sound quality with its new feature
The significant volume differences in albums have become an annoying problem, especially for users listening to music through headphones. The new function prevents low-level tracks that follow a song that starts at a high volume from creating a sudden difference in the ear. Thus, transitions become smoother.

For now, the “Consistent Sound” innovation has been opened to a limited number of users. While the feature is seen to be active on the iPhone side in version 8.15, it is reported that this update is not visible on every device for Android users. In addition, there is no option for this feature in the desktop version of YouTube Music.
The system previously offered as “Stable Sound” in YouTube’s main application also works with a similar logic in the Music application. However, the feature cannot be turned on or off with a button on the playback screen, as in the YouTube app.
This function, which is an important improvement especially for users who listen to music with mixed playlists in daily use, is expected to reach a wider audience and become a standard in the coming period.
