    AI-powered Zotac Zone Gaming revealed at CES 2025

    Zotac unveiled a prototype of its new Zone Gaming portable console at CES 2025. While not yet the final product, the prototype shows what the future of portable gaming has in store.

    The most notable feature of the new Zotac Zone Gaming prototype is the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor. Based on Zen 5 architecture and Strix Point design, this 12-core, 24-thread processor has 24 MB of shared L3 cache and 1 MB of L2 cache per core.

    The Zone Gaming packs a Radeon 890M GPU with RDNA 3.5 architecture and 16 NPUs, promising significantly better performance than its predecessor. Zotac has also improved memory and storage capacities, equipping the prototype with 32 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 SSD.

    The Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor offers a 28W TDP configurable between 15W and 54W, allowing Zotac to tune the device’s performance and power efficiency. The display uses the same 7-inch, 120Hz OLED panel used in the first model.

    Other features of the prototype include a hall effect joystick, 48.5Wh battery, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, UHS-II microSD card slot and USB4 ports. The brand also showed a white version of the new Zone Gaming prototype and announced that it will offer different color options in the final product.
