Tech giant Apple is taking a significant step into the Turkish market by adding another innovation to its healthcare offering. The eagerly awaited Apple Watch hypertension notification feature is now ready to be rolled out in Turkey after obtaining the necessary legal approvals. This new feature is crucial for the early diagnosis of silent cases of high blood pressure.
Apple Watch hypertension monitoring officially approved
This system, developed as part of Apple’s vision to transform smartwatches into healthcare assistants, has been approved by the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency (TİTCK). This approval means the feature will be available for users in Turkey soon. This means users will be able to closely monitor blood pressure fluctuations through the technology on their wrists.

The system takes regular measurements and warns users of potential risks. These notifications, especially for users who have not yet been diagnosed, expedite the process of consulting a doctor and provide the opportunity for early intervention. The company recently made this feature available in countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Vietnam.
Users who want to take advantage of this critical health feature must have certain hardware. According to information shared by Apple, Apple Watch hypertension notifications are supported on the following models:
- Apple Watch Series 9
- Apple Watch Series 10
- Apple Watch Series 11
- Apple Watch Ultra 2
- Apple Watch Ultra 3
Activating the feature is quite simple. Go to the Health app on your iPhone, click on your profile, and then find the “Hypertension Notifications” option in the “Health Checklist” to complete the setup. However, Apple strongly emphasizes that this feature is not a medical device, is for informational purposes only, and is not suitable for people under the age of 22 or pregnant women.
