Apple is set to unveil its sports-focused Apple Watch Series 8 in the future. According to Bloomberg tech journalist Mark Gurman, several smartwatch models will be introduced, and some will cost up to $1000, especially sports models.
Apple Watch Pro will appeal to sports enthusiasts
According to the latest reports, Apple will introduce three different smartwatches in September. One of them will be for extreme sports enthusiasts and will come with a larger screen in addition to special features. There are rumors that the name of the watch will be Apple Watch Pro.
Although we do not know the name of the new model, the names to be used for Apple’s extreme sports model may be Apple Watch Extreme, Apple Watch Max, or Apple Watch Explorer Edition. However, Apple Watch Pro may be the most suitable name for Apple, which has also offered “Pro” models of its products to its users.
Apple Watch Pro price prediction
Gurman says that the screen will be more shatter-resistant than the 8 series. The material that is going to be used may be titanium, which is more durable than steel. As a result, the Watch Pro will be more robust. It will be bigger. The size increase of the model can help to extend the battery life. It will also share the same temperature sensor that comes with Series 8.
Gurman reminds us that the current Apple Watch Edition is a practically Titanium Series 7 device. The 45mm model starts at $849. This means that the Apple Watch Pro will be more expensive. According to the leaks, the price range will be around $900 to $999 for the device.
What do we expect from Apple Watch Series 8
The new Apple Watch SE will reportedly share the same processor with the Series 8. The device will likely replace the current model and will start at $279. Unlike Series 8 and Pro, the new Apple Watch SE will not have a temperature sensor.
Like its predecessors, the Apple Watch Series 8 will come in 41mm and 45mm sizes. It will have updated displays, the S8 chip and a temperature sensor. Prices might start at $399 for the 41mm model.
