Apple has decided to accelerate the development of blood pressure measurement technology for smartwatches by taking a step towards more comprehensive monitoring of user health. The company’s new patent application once again demonstrates its goal of making the Apple Watch series not only a technology product, but also a powerful health monitoring device. Here are the details…
New patent for Apple Watch devices!
Apple has filed a patent application for a new technology for measuring blood pressure for smartwatches. PatentlyApple announced all the curious details about the company’s new patent.
With this patent, Apple Watch models are generally expected to be equipped with a compression system separate from the liquid-filled sensing chamber. In this sense, the component can be filled with a fixed amount of liquid and closed. Thus, no changes occur during the measurement process.
Another interesting detail is that the vibration sensor can be adjusted to detect vibrations in the blood flow. You can also view an image above showing how the device should work, where to position the sensors during use, and how it might look.
It is worth noting that the measuring device can communicate wirelessly with other devices. This means it can send information to a connected phone, tablet, computer or other product, allowing content to be viewed, analysed or stored.
This component is displayed as a sample device on Apple Watch models. However, the information states that it can be removed and equipped with other devices, such as for use on belts, straps and more. It can also be used to take measurements from other parts of the body other than the wrist.
Still, it seems that it may take a little more time for this patent to appear on Apple Watch devices.
So how did you find the new Apple patent?
