While the cinematic future of Spider-Man remains a mystery, a highly anticipated version of the character is being adapted into a series format. Nicolas Cage will star in the live-action adaptation developed by Amazon. The experienced actor will appear before fans as Spider-Man Noir, the 1930s-inspired hero of Earth-90214.
Spider-Man Noir has a very different origin than the Spider-Man we know. While the Spider-Man of the main universe lives in the present day, ‘Noir’ will take us to the centre of the Great Burhan in 1930s New York.

The 1930s Peter Parker will again be raised by Aunt May and Uncle Ben. However, the main character’s past will be much harsher and tragic than the Spider-Mans we know.
In this version of events, Peter’s Uncle Ben will be horribly murdered by the Goblin in retaliation for the Goblin’s strike against their company. Despite the lack of any evidence, Peter will learn that the Goblin killed Uncle Ben and will try to figure out how to prove it. This story will set the stage for Peter’s rise to power. But the atmosphere will have much darker tones than in the main universe.

In this story, Peter learns that the Goblin will make a drug shipment and this is how he gets a clue about one of the Goblin’s shipments. Peter travels to the docks where he is bitten by a spider and transforms into a superhero. Peter then creates his own Spider-Man costume based on Uncle Ben’s aviator uniform and is determined to defeat the Goblin.
With a grittier tone, Spider-Man Noir will bring us one of the toughest Spider-Man stories we’ve ever seen.
