Google is continuing its efforts to expand the multitasking concept on Android phones. In this context, it has been revealed that the company is testing a new feature called “Android Bubble Bar,” which works differently from the current split-screen mode and allows multiple apps to be opened and switched between more easily.
Google’s New Android Bubble Bar Feature Will Make Multitasking Easier
Multitasking on Android smartphones can be quite frustrating, especially on models with smaller screens. Most devices offer a split-screen mode that allows two apps to be placed side by side, and a bubble feature that opens certain apps in floating windows. However, these methods are only convenient for switching between two apps. When using three or more apps, efficiency significantly drops.

Google seems to be taking an important step on this issue. According to reliable industry sources, an important detail was discovered in the Android 16 Beta 4 version. The company is reportedly working on a feature that will allow any app to be opened in a bubble and accessed through a new bubble bar on Android smartphones.
Based on the shared video of the new feature, users will be able to place one or more apps into bubbles and easily access or switch between them while using another app simply by tapping on the bubbles.
Google is expected to roll out this feature with the Android 16 update. Additionally, although it is not yet confirmed, it is said that the company may categorize these bubbles to make app selection even easier.
