Google has started to integrate its artificial intelligence bot Gemini into its products and services. The Gemini chatbot, which was recently introduced as a writing assistant for Docs and Gmail, is now being tested in the Google Messages app.
Google Messages is getting Gemini support
Gemini, which was announced in the past months, is now available to more users. Google is testing Gemini on some Pixel and Samsung Galaxy models. Users who enable RCS have Gemini support in Google Messages.
When you tap the action button in Messages, there will be a new option to chat with Gemini. Its interface is similar to standard messaging, but without voice notes. Users can ask Gemini questions and receive text-based responses.
Google also offers the ability to search the web and share web pages, maps, travel details and YouTube videos through various extensions.
However, Gemini’s rollout is still in testing and is limited to Google Messages beta users for now. Google wants to expand the availability of the AI assistant to more Android devices over time, a Google spokesperson said.
In the meantime, Google has made its most powerful AI available. Gemini 1.5 Pro represents a big leap forward in natural language processing. The model can process up to 1 million tokens, much larger than previous versions.
