Huawei is also bringing its own operating system, HarmonyOS, to the computer platform. The company officially introduced the PC version of HarmonyOS at the conference it organized. The operating system, which was previously only used on phones, tablets and smart watches, will try to be an alternative to Windows and macOS.
Huawei HarmonyOS operating system will be offered for PC
Following the restrictions imposed by the US, Huawei, which has followed an independent path on the software side, aims to establish its own ecosystem with HarmonyOS for PC. This system has been built completely from scratch and is not based on any Android or Windows infrastructure.

One of the most important topics Huawei emphasized at the event was security. HarmonyOS for PC includes strict permission policies for processes such as developer verification, application signature control and screen recording.
Thanks to the “Super Privacy Mode” that can be activated system-wide, camera, microphone and location access can be turned off. In addition, the operating system offers full disk encryption support at the chip level. Thanks to this structure, files on the hard disk cannot be accessed without unlocking the screen.
There are also remarkable innovations on the productivity side. With HarmonyOS Office, cross-device synchronization, unified account management, and AI-powered interaction features are activated.
The official release date of HarmonyOS for PC was announced as May 19. So what do you think about this? Did you like the new features? You can easily share your opinions with us in the comments section below.
