Apple finally launched its new devices at its event. Then, the company also announced the release date of iOS 16 and its features at WWDC. The new iOS 16 will launch on Monday, September 12. However, according to the latest reports, all the announced features won’t come with the first iOS 16 version to the iPhones. Here are the details about the iOS 16 Monday update.
5 iOS 16 features that won’t launch on Monday
Apple brings many new features with every update for its devices. However, while updating its new devices, the older ones don’t get some of the new features. For example, most of the coming features will not be available on iPhone models before the iPhone XS. Let’s check the five iOS 16 features that will not release on Monday.
The missing features will probably be available in the further iOS 16 versions like iOS 16.1, 16.2, or maybe even a later update. Apple will not launch some of the coming features with the first version of iOS 16. There are iCloud Shared Photo Library, Live Activities, and more features.
iCloud Shared Photo Library
One of the most expected and interesting features of iOS 16 is the availability of a single shared photo library in iCloud. This feature will allow users to share a single library among family members with the automatic sync for the photos and videos. According to the reports, we can say it could be available with iOS 16.1 in October.
This feature is also one of the most expected features. The tech giant announced the Live Activities feature at WWDC in June with iOS 16. It lets users get notifications that are constantly updated by the related apps. For example, you can get notifications for food or parcel deliveries, ride-hailing apps, fitness activities, and more. On the developer site, it says the feature will be available “later this year”. So, it could also come with iOS 16.1.
There are also three iOS 16 features that won’t launch on Monday with the first software version. Matter support, Game Center features, and the Freeform app will not come with the iOS 16. They will be available in the later updates on the phone software.
