Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium took the iPhone 12 under scrutiny
While the iPhone 15 family was introduced with new features, bad news came for the iPhone 12. French officials who examined the iPhone 12 series stated that the device has excessive radiation signals and could be dangerous for users.
France’s national frequency regulator ANFR found that the iPhone 12 exceeded Europe’s radiation exposure limits during testing. It said it would suspend sales of the iPhone 12 until it accepted Apple’s appeal on the issue.
With the iPhone 15 series, which was introduced yesterday, Apple has addressed the rapidly declining battery health!
Apple disputes the findings, claiming that the iPhone 12 has numerous certifications that show it meets worldwide SAR safety standards. But the French ban has also galvanized other countries in Europe.
Belgium has announced that it will conduct its own investigation into the iPhone 12’s radiation levels. Deputy minister Mathieu Michel asked the country’s telecom regulator to analyze whether the device poses health risks.
Germany and the Netherlands are also investigating the issue. Germany’s radiation agency BfS and the Dutch Ministry of Economy are planning to test the iPhone 12 at European borders. German network regulator BNetzA said it is in contact with French authorities about a possible procedure.
