Apple is set to bring back the affordable iPhone SE family. However, recent claims have revealed that the fourth-generation iPhone SE will face a production delay. Unlike Samsung and LG, Apple was rumoured to be sourcing OLED screens for the iPhone SE 4 from Chinese manufacturer BOE. However, it has been reported that there has been a disruption in the supply of OLED screens.
iPhone SE 4 launch with OLED screen delayed to 2025
A new report has revealed Apple’s plans for the iPhone SE 4, claiming that the technology giant will have to push back the launch date yet again and that the device will be released in 2025. Previous leaks suggested it could be announced in 2024.
Apple’s demands for an OLED screen are behind the delay. Apple, which was negotiating with BOE for the fourth-generation SE, was unable to achieve the desired efficiency in this regard. Following this setback, LG and Samsung said they could produce OLED screens for the iPhone SE 4.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has announced that the fourth-generation iPhone SE will feature a 6.1-inch OLED display and a 5G chip. The new device will reportedly resemble the flat iPhone 14 model. The third-generation iPhone SE had a 4.7-inch LCD display with thicker bezels.
The company, which makes the OLED panels for the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, has relatively lower costs than LG and Samsung. However, it is unclear whether Apple will continue to work with BOE on the screen.
On the other hand, the new detail about the iPhone 15 shows that it will come with a titanium case. Apple used a stainless steel alloy in the iPhone 14 Pro Max. Titanium is lighter and stronger than stainless steel.
