Xiaomi has unveiled its latest smart home appliance in China the Mijia Refrigerator Pro Micro-Freshness Dual System Cross-Type 560L. While the name is a mouthful, the feature set is equally stacked, combining high-capacity cooling with smart connectivity, voice input, and app-based food tracking.
Mijia Refrigerator Pro brings smart features to a 560L dual-zone fridge

The refrigerator offers a 560-liter total capacity, split into a 360L fridge and a 200L freezer. The layout includes 18 storage zones, and users can independently control the temperature of each compartment via the Mi Home app.
Xiaomi claims the system keeps temperature within 0.1°C, thanks to three temperature probes monitoring internal conditions. The freezer can cool down to -30°C (-22°F), while the refrigerator supports micro-chilling a feature that helps preserve fresh meat for up to 10 days above freezing, aiming to retain more flavor and nutrients.
Smart control and app integration redefine food storage
This isn’t just a cold box with Wi-Fi. The Mijia Refrigerator Pro adds app-connected conveniences, including:
- Remote temperature control via Mi Home
- “Food alarm clock” for expiry tracking
- Voice/text input support for food logging
- App-controlled ice maker with antibacterial components
The food alarm clock is particularly novel. It notifies users when ingredients are nearing expiration, potentially cutting down on waste. Users can input items manually or by voice offering both flexibility and functionality.
Designed for quiet performance and tight spaces
Despite its size, the refrigerator keeps noise low just 31 dB(A) during operation, according to Xiaomi. It also boasts a Level 1 energy efficiency rating, the highest grade under China’s system. And with a depth of only 600 mm (23.6 inches), the Mijia Pro is slimmer than most full-size fridges, making it a better fit for apartments or narrow kitchens.
Dimensions:
- Width: 892 mm
- Depth: 600 mm
- Height: 1,912 mm
- Available finishes: Ice Crystal White, Starry Silver, Apricot Glass
Priced to compete, but still China-exclusive
Xiaomi is selling the Mijia Refrigerator Pro for CNY 9,999 (~$1,410) via its Youpin platform. The company hasn’t announced any plans to release the model outside of China. However, with other smart products like the Robot Vacuum X20 Pro reaching Europe, a global debut isn’t out of the question.
Smart cooling meets smart living
With remote controls, intelligent food tracking, and ultra-quiet operation, Xiaomi’s Mijia Refrigerator Pro shows how far kitchen tech has come. It’s not just keeping food cold it’s trying to make your entire fridge smarter, quieter, and more efficient.
