Musk reinstates Kanye West’s Twitter after 7 months

Kanye West's Twitter account was suspended for violating Twitter's rules. However, the account has been reactivated without explanation.

After being acquired by Elon Musk, Twitter has started to reinstate the accounts of controversial figures such as Donald Trump. Kanye West, who posted offensive tweets on Twitter about seven months ago, is the latest to return to the platform.

Why was Kanye West’s Twitter account suspended?

The Twitter account of rapper Kanye West, also known as Ye, was suspended in December last year. The reason given was that he had violated Twitter’s rules against inciting violence. However, Ye will be able to post on Twitter again.

Kanye West’s suspension was announced by Musk. He said Ye was inciting violence by posting offensive tweets. In some of his tweets, it was stated that he made Nazi propaganda.

After his posts in December, Kanye West was suspended from both Twitter and Instagram. His posts were removed from both platforms for hate speech violations. Twitter, owned by Elon Musk, reactivated Ye’s account without explanation.

So far, neither Elon Musk nor Kanye West have commented on the account’s reactivation.

West also lost some business partnerships last year due to his controversial behavior. For example, in October, Adidas terminated its deal with the rapper, stating that it does not tolerate hate speech.
