The SwitchBot Safety Alarm has officially launched, bringing smart home features into the realm of personal safety. With Apple Find My support, a piercing 130 dB siren, and real-time alerts, this compact device aims to offer more than just noise; it’s designed to act fast in emergencies.

Compact and lightweight, the SwitchBot Safety Alarm weighs just 35 grams and measures 67 x 33 x 15 mm. It can easily be clipped to a keychain, bag, or backpack. Once activated, it delivers a loud 130 dB alert enough to be heard up to 100 meters away.

This device isn’t just about volume. It also syncs with Apple’s Find My network, making it easier to locate if lost or stolen. Users can activate Lost Mode or enable a silent SOS signal if needed.

Beyond the basics, the Safety Alarm includes:

    • Built-in LED flashlight
    • Virtual phone call feature to simulate incoming calls
    • Silent SOS mode for discreet alerts
    • Lost Mode with real-time location tracking
    • IP65 water and dust resistance
    • NFC key compatibility with SwitchBot Lock and Keypad
    • Replaceable button-cell batteries (up to 1–2 years of battery life depending on mode)

The SwitchBot app provides access to all functions and instantly sends alerts to family members when the alarm triggers.

The SwitchBot Safety Alarm is available in three colorways: black, aqua, and white, matching its form factor with an everyday carry appeal. It’s built to operate reliably in real-world conditions, from rainy commutes to crowded city streets.

Battery life can last up to 2 years if used solely with SwitchBot services, or up to 1 year when combined with Apple Find My. Users can control how they integrate the device into their routine, thanks to its flexibility.

While the alarm works as a standalone device, it becomes more powerful when paired with SwitchBot’s smart home products. It can serve as a door key via NFC when used with a SwitchBot Lock and Keypad, though it remains limited to SwitchBot’s own ecosystem.

With its mix of loud deterrents and smart tracking, the SwitchBot Safety Alarm blends utility and peace of mind. It’s not just a panic button, it’s a connected safety device built for real-world emergencies.

In a market filled with generic keychain alarms, this one actually thinks.
