Microsoft has released an update addressing the Single Sign-On (SSO) issue that has troubled Windows 10 users for months. Named KB5043133, this update resolves the bug that forced users to repeatedly authenticate after signing into Microsoft services using SSO.
Login Issue Resolved for Windows 10
For those unfamiliar, SSO is a feature that allows users to access multiple applications and websites with a single set of login credentials. However, over the past six months, many Windows 10 users have faced constant login prompts when trying to access Outlook, OneDrive, and other Microsoft applications.
According to Microsoft’s support documents, the KB5043133 update fixes the problem occurring during automatic authentication when using SSO in Windows 10. The update also addresses various issues, including adjustments to the Start menu interface, freezing in Internet Explorer mode in Microsoft Edge, crashes in Windows Server Explorer, and folder synchronization issues when antivirus is enabled.
Currently, this optional update is available for users running Windows 10 version 22H2 and can be installed manually. It is expected to relieve administrators and users who have been struggling with SSO authentication issues for months.
As Microsoft has ended support for older versions, many users are accelerating their transition to either Windows 10 or Windows 11. Consequently, Windows 10’s market share has dropped from 51.95% to 48.66%, reflecting a loss of 3.29%.
