Redmi’s K80 series was unveiled not too long ago, and already leaks about the next-gen K90 models are surfacing. Moreover, the information suggests that the series will be introduced earlier than expected. Notable changes, especially in terms of performance and pricing, are anticipated. Here are the details!
Early launch and powerful features for the Redmi K90 series
According to new leaks from China, the Redmi K90 series will be launched earlier than planned. The models, originally expected to be announced in November, may hit the market as early as October.

The standard Redmi K90 model is expected to come with a special 3nm+ chip co-developed with Qualcomm. This new processor is said to offer performance similar to the Snapdragon 8 Elite and will feature a completely customized architecture.
The more powerful Redmi K90 Pro will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor. It is also claimed to come with a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, which was absent in previous models. On the front, the same 2K resolution flat OLED display as the K80 Pro is expected to be maintained. There are also notable rumors regarding the pricing of the Redmi K90 series.
The K90 Pro is said to be priced between 4,000 and 5,000 yuan in China. Even at the lower end of this range, it would be around 9% more expensive than the K80 Pro and approximately 22% more than the K70 Pro.
This price hike is believed to be due to the upgraded hardware and the manufacturing costs of the next-gen chip. However, it’s still unclear how this price increase will affect the series’ sales strategy in global markets.
