Developed by IguanaBee and published by GameMill Entertainment, Rise of Kong is the first King Kong game in 18 years. However, images shared on social media revealed that the game was not well-received.
The cutscenes with surprisingly bad visuals went viral on social media with videos reminiscent of 20-year-old games. Videos showing the game’s simple action scenes caused great controversy among players.
Some users have called Rise of Kong “the worst game of 2023” less than a day after its release. This is a disappointment for fans of the franchise following the release of Peter Jackson’s King Kong in 2005.
