    Valorant map updates are here! What’s new?

    Riot Games’ popular first-person shooter Valorant is undergoing a few changes with new updates. With the 9.01 update, new agent and map changes have been added to consoles, as well as the Esports feature for the PC version.

    Valorant’s 9.01 update brings significant changes to the game’s various platforms. Here’s what’s new with this update:

    Mod updates

    Escalation mode will be disabled due to a bug and will return with the 9.03 update. In the meantime, players will be able to continue playing in other modes.

    Weapon updates

    The animation for Outlaw and his skin lines has been updated, making it more obvious when the weapon is ready to fire. This will allow players to fire with more accurate timing.

    General bug fixes

    Fixed a bug that caused Neon to equip his weapon faster after sliding. Also fixed various game system bugs, including AFK players being able to initiate a surrender vote and a brief stutter for viewers when exiting Cypher’s Spycam. Some performance issues have also been addressed, including Sage and Clove’s revives not being visible to viewers.

    Map updates

    With Valorant’s latest update, several improvements have been made to the Abyss map:

    Abyss Map

    – Cleaned up visual issues and unwanted placements in Cypher’s Spycam placement points.

    – Improved Wingman’s Spike placement paths in area A.

    – Fixed ability and player collision issues at various points on the map.

    – Fixed a bug that caused the minimap to appear inverted with certain settings active.

    – Fixed a visual bug when falling from area A.

    – Fixed a bug that caused Viper’s Pit ability to spread more than desired in zone A.

    With the addition of Esports features to the PC version of Valorant, players will now have more opportunities to interact and compete. Pick ‘Ems Beta is coming for Valorant Champions 2024. This feature will be available from July 26th and players will be able to earn points by predicting teams’ progress in the Champions Seoul Group Stage.

    The console version of Valorant has also received updates:

    General updates

    – Made non-Ultimate skill keys reassignable.

    – Added inversion settings for map cursor controls.

    Neon’s rearming time after sliding has been changed from fast to instantaneous. Reduced the horizontal force of Raze’s second explosive pack. Reduced Iso’s double-tap time from 20 seconds to 12 seconds and removed the signature kill reset.
