Xiaomi has just refreshed its Sound Outdoor Bluetooth speaker lineup in Europe with two new colorways green and gold. While these changes are strictly visual, the move suggests Xiaomi is aiming to keep interest high in a product that already earned accolades for both design and functionality.

Originally launched in black, red, and blue, the Sound Outdoor is now offered in five total colors, with the latest additions priced the same as the originals. In the UK, each version retails for £34.99, and in markets like Germany, where the update hasn’t fully rolled out yet, they’re expected to land at €34.99.

For those keeping track, here’s the updated color lineup:

    • Black
    • Red
    • Blue
    • Green
    • Gold

Aside from the updated casing, the green and gold models are identical to the original Sound Outdoor speaker. That means you still get:

    • 30W output with woofer boost mode
    • Bluetooth 5.4 with up to 25-meter range
    • True Wireless Stereo pairing with a second speaker
    • Ability to link up to 100 speakers simultaneously
    • Built-in mic for hands-free calls
    • IP67 rating for dust and water resistance

The speaker’s 2,600 mAh battery promises up to 12 hours of playback at 50% volume, recharging via USB-C at 15W, with a full charge taking about 2.5 hours.

At 196.6 x 68.0 x 66.0 mm and 597 g, the Sound Outdoor remains one of Xiaomi’s more portable and durable speaker options. It also still boasts a 2024 Red Dot Design Award, backing up its sharp looks with industry recognition.

Though the wider European rollout is still pending, the new colors add a bit more personality to a speaker already built for outdoor action. For users who want tough audio gear without losing aesthetic appeal, green and gold might just hit the right note.
