It seems that the Chinese manufacturer, known for periodically releasing the latest version of MIUI based on the latest Android version, has taken a different approach this year. According to recent information, the upcoming MIUI version has been canceled.
Xiaomi has canceled the MIUI 14.5 version: Why?
Recently, there have been leaks and rumors surrounding the MIUI 14.5 version, but now there is disappointing news. According to Xiaomiui, Xiaomi has decided to skip this interim version and focus directly on MIUI 15.
Last year, shortly after the introduction of Android 13, MIUI 13.5 was released, and a comprehensive distribution plan was put into action. However, things will not go as expected this year. Users will have to wait for the introduction and distribution of MIUI 15 in order to experience the latest Android 14 version.
Additionally, considering the company’s past update strategy, it is highly likely that MIUI 15 will be based on both Android 14 and 13. Finally, if there are no issues, the new version is expected to be released in December. The following models are expected to receive the new version:
