Vivo, which launched its first foldable phone model in 2022, has accelerated its efforts to increase its market share. According to leaked information, Vivo will launch two different foldable phone models, S Flip and V Flip.
Vivo rolls up its sleeves for S Flip and V Flip models
The trademark registration application published on the EUIPO (European Union Intellectual Property Office) website shows that the company is accelerating its work on its new foldable models. It is estimated that the company, which has a flagship foldable model called X Flip, will appeal to middle segment users with new devices.
In recent weeks, Motorola introduced its foldable model called Razr 40 duo, which appeals to the middle-upper segment market. However, it is claimed that Samsung is also in the R&D process for an affordable foldable phone for middle segment users.
It is estimated that Vivo’s new series will include Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 or MediaTek Dimensity 1200 processor. The devices, which are claimed to have the same screen and chassis features as the X Flip model, will be released after 2024.
The Vivo X Fold model has a 6.74 inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2500 pixels. However, the device has an LTPO AMOLED panel with a 120Hz screen refresh rate.
It is estimated that the company will offer 8 GB RAM and 256 GB / 512 GB storage options in the new models. We should point out that the devices will have a price tag of less than $ 800.
