AOC has announced its new Mini LED monitor, the Q27G4SMN, designed for gaming enthusiasts. This 27-inch model stands out with its high refresh rate and DisplayHDR 1000 certification. The monitor is already listed in China, but global availability and pricing information have not yet been announced.
AOC’s new monitor is in the spotlight
The Q27G4SMN uses a Fast VA panel with a 2560×1440 resolution and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The monitor features a glass-based full-array Mini LED backlight system consisting of a total of 4,608 LEDs and offering 1,152 local dimming zones.

The panel offers a static contrast ratio of 5000:1 and reaches a maximum brightness of 1200 nits in HDR mode. The device is VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified and features four different local dimming modes to enhance black levels and detail.
The monitor delivers refresh rates of up to 300 Hz via HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC support. The device includes gaming-focused features such as AMD FreeSync-compatible Adaptive-Sync technology, a 1 ms GtG response time, motion blur reduction, black level enhancement, shadow control, and a real-time frame counter.
AOC uses Quantum Dot layering in the monitor to increase color accuracy. The device covers 100% of the sRGB color space and 97% of the DCI-P3 gamut. The monitor comes with 10-bit color support and is factory calibrated to a Delta E value below 2.
Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC support, and an audio output. The Q27G4SMN, with its ergonomic stand, supports 130 mm height adjustment, -5° to 23° tilt, -20° to 20° swivel, and 90° pivot rotation.
It also features VESA 100×100 mounting compatibility. The monitor also features TÜV-certified flicker-free and low blue light modes to reduce eye fatigue during extended use.
