Bayraktar TB3 Hits Bullseye with Precision in Dual Fire Test!
One of the most innovative projects of the Turkish defense industry, Bayraktar TB3, has achieved a remarkable milestone in its latest firing test. Utilizing the ASELSAN ASELFLIR-500 Electro-Optical Sensor System and Roketsan’s MAM-T ammunition, the test demonstrated the precision of the system, with two separate munitions striking the same point. Here are the details!
Bayraktar TB3 Prepares to Enter Inventory
Recently, Bayraktar TB3 successfully completed takeoff and landing tests on the TCG Anadolu ship. As the world’s first and only UAV capable of operating on short-runway ships, it continues weaponized tests at full speed before entering inventory. During tests with the third prototype, the MAM-T ammunition demonstrated centimeter-level precision in its strikes.

Developed by Turkish engineers, the ASELFLIR-500 Electro-Optical Sensor System significantly enhances the reconnaissance and targeting capabilities of UAVs. Produced by ASELSAN, this system stands out as one of the highest-performing solutions among its counterparts.
The MAM-T ammunition weighs four times more than the MAM-L and delivers a destructive impact comparable to the Mk81 warhead. With a diameter of 230 mm, the ammunition can achieve a range of 30 to 80 kilometers, depending on the platform’s speed and altitude.
This firing test once again highlighted the world-class precision of munitions developed in Turkey. Both munitions striking the same point demonstrates an almost zero deviation rate, providing a significant operational advantage.
