Details about the first DLC pack for Assassin’s Creed Shadows have leaked online. According to Reddit users, an updated listing for the game on Steam also revealed details about the DLC. However, it appears this listing was already planned and does not account for the game’s second delay. Shortly after players noticed, Ubisoft removed the listing for the Claws of Awaji DLC.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows DLC to Offer 10 Hours of Additional Content
According to the description, Claws of Awaji will introduce a new region for players to explore, designed to evoke a “fear of being under threat.” The DLC will also add a new weapon type, new skills, and gear, as well as new enemies that players will face while searching for lost treasure. It promises around 10 hours of additional content.
The Claws of Awaji DLC will be available for free in 2025 to players who pre-ordered Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Ubisoft is expected to share more details about post-launch expansions once the game is released.
The highly anticipated Assassin’s Creed Shadows is set to launch on March 20, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. According to Ubisoft, the latest delay was necessary to allow the studio a few extra weeks to incorporate player feedback and deliver a more ambitious and immersive experience at launch.
In the original delay announcement, Ubisoft stated it would move away from the traditional season pass model and cancel early access for the game. As a result, all players who pre-ordered will receive free access to the first expansion.
