The first leaks about vivo’s new-generation foldable flagship model X Fold 5 have been made public. The device, which is the sequel to the X Fold 3 series introduced last year, will skip the number “4” on the grounds that it has negative connotations in Chinese culture and will be directly referred to as X Fold 5.
vivo X Fold 5 may exceed expectations this time
The new model has a 6.53-inch LTPO OLED screen on its exterior. The interior, which is revealed when folded, has an 8.03-inch 2K resolution AMOLED panel. Both screens offer a 120Hz refresh rate, promising high performance in terms of both fluidity and energy efficiency.

The device’s processing power is provided by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, accompanied by 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. High-resolution sensors stand out in the camera setup.
The Sony IMX921 sensor is used as the main camera on the rear. The system also includes a Sony IMX882 telephoto lens that offers 3x optical zoom and an additional 50 MP sensor. On the front camera side, there are separate 32 MP cameras for both the inner and outer screens.
The battery performance of the device will be another feature that stands out in its segment. With its 6000 mAh battery, the X Fold 5 is positioned as one of the models with the largest battery among foldable phones.
Fast energy support can be provided thanks to 90W wired and 30W wireless charging support. Despite all this hardware, the device also draws attention with its thin structure, offering only 4.3 mm thickness when open.
