Although we are far from the launch of the new iPhone lineup, the leaks about the upcoming devices keep revealing. Every day, new leaks are revealed about the iPhone 15 series. Especially, the details about the charging port of the phones are at the top. Now, the truthful leaker, Ming-Chi Kuo, announced that Apple is expected to launch the new iPhone 15 series with USB-C charging, but only compatible with MFi cables. Here are the details about the iPhone 15’s charging and MFi compatibility…
MFi Charging cable for iPhone 15 series
We know that the tech giant doesn’t limit accessories on iPads with the USB-C port, but it seems to be different for the iPhone 15 series. According to some resources, Apple will limit the accessories only to MFi-licensed ones. Apple explains, “The program gives you access to the technical specifications and resources needed to create accessories that communicate with Apple devices using MFi technologies and components.”
If the company makes it compulsory, you need to buy the accessories with the MFi program. For example, if you buy a cable with MFi license, it means that it works the same as Apple’s own cable. Additionally, when you purchase an accessory without the MFi, it won’t work on iPhone 15 series. Your iPhone will warn you, “This accessory is not supported.”
iPhone 15 series will feature the Dynamic Island
Another leak about the iPhone 15 is the display again. According to the leaks, the basic 15 and 15 Plus will have the new Dynamic Island, and their displays will feature the standard 60Hz refresh rate. However, Apple is not expected to release the Always-On-Display feature, which is available on Pro models, on these devices.
Additionally, the CAD renders of the iPhone 15 Pro revealed. The new Pro models will have titanium frames instead of stainless steel. Thanks to the new frames, they will be more durable, and lighter. Also, the leakers say that the upcoming series will have thinner, uniform 1.5mm bezels on the display.
