MediaTek, one of the leading names in the mobile processor market, is preparing to unveil the successor to its Dimensity 9400, which was introduced in October last year. The company is expected to launch the Dimensity 9500 model in the coming months. So, what features will the new chipset offer, and when will it be unveiled? Here are the details!
MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Revealed
Reliable industry sources from Digital Chat Station have shared the first details about the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset. According to these reports, the chipset will be produced using TSMC’s N3P manufacturing process and will come with an entirely new core architecture.

The processor will feature one Travis core, three Alto cores, and four Gelas cores. The Travis and Alto cores are based on ARM’s latest Cortex-X9 series and support SME instructions, while the Gelas cores are set to be the new generation large cores based on the A7 series. This marks a significant change compared to the Dimensity 9400 chipset, which is based on the Cortex-X4 cores.
The chipset will include 16 MB of L3 cache and 10 MB of SLC cache. Memory support will cover four-channel LPDDR5x RAM, capable of speeds up to 10,667 Mbps, and it will also support four-channel UFS 4.1 storage. On the GPU side, the Immortalis-Drage graphics unit, with a new microarchitecture, will enhance ray tracing performance while reducing energy consumption. Additionally, the NPU 9.0 is expected to provide artificial intelligence processing power of up to 100 TOPS.
While the Dimensity 9400 scored around 2.84 million points in AnTuTu tests, the Dimensity 9500 is expected to surpass the 4 million-point mark, setting a new benchmark. Finally, it’s claimed that the vivo X300 series and Oppo Find X9 family will be the first devices to feature this new hardware. The official announcement is expected to take place later this year.
