Nvidia is preparing to add new “SUPER” models to its GeForce RTX 50 graphics card family. According to the latest information, the GeForce RTX 5080 SUPER and RTX 5070 SUPER models have reached the development stage.
“SUPER” models are being added to the RTX 50 series
Problems such as stock shortages, driver errors and missing ROP units experienced after the launch of the RTX 50 series caused difficulties in meeting user expectations. Nvidia wants to strengthen the series with new SUPER models.

The GeForce RTX 5080 SUPER model is expected to have 24 GB GDDR7 memory capacity, while the RTX 5070 SUPER model is expected to have 18 GB GDDR7 memory capacity. These values mean an increase of approximately 50 percent compared to the current RTX 5080’s 16 GB and RTX 5070’s 12 GB memory.
It was stated that the GDDR7 modules to be used in the cards consist of 3 GB building blocks. This information also coincides with the technical leaks previously shared by MSI. A big leap in performance is not expected.
It is stated that the SUPER models will not offer a significant speed difference compared to the basic RTX 50 versions; however, the increased memory capacity will provide an advantage in tasks requiring artificial intelligence and many games.
The official launch date of the RTX 50 SUPER models has not been announced yet. However, considering Nvidia’s previous launch calendars, it is thought that the new series may be officially announced at the Computex 2025 event.
