Google has released version 4.467, the latest update, which includes major improvements for its wireless earbuds, the Pixel Buds Pro 2. The company introduced the new features announced at its Made by Google event in August. The update elevates the audio experience and revolutionizes the headphones’ control flexibility for everyday use.
Pixel Buds Pro 2 Officially Updated
With the new version, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 now supports Adaptive Sound. This advanced Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) mode is available in the Active Noise Control section of the Pixel Buds app.

The feature instantly analyzes ambient sounds and automatically adjusts the volume according to the environment while listening to music or podcasts. This provides users with a more balanced listening experience without being completely cut off from the outside world.
Additionally, High Noise Protection has been added. This protection detects sudden and loud sounds, such as ambulance sirens or construction noises, and reduces their intensity.
The update also brings a significant improvement for users of Gemini Live, Google’s AI-powered assistant. The new voice processing system prioritizes the user’s own voice and effectively cancels background noise.
This ensures clear communication even in noisy environments. Users experience enhanced clarity of headphone performance during meetings, commutes, or crowded spaces.
Perhaps the most striking innovation is gesture controls. This feature transforms the Pixel Buds Pro 2 into a hands-free device. Users now nod their head to answer a call or dictate a message. Similarly, a different head gesture is used to decline a call or message.
