Xiaomi is continuing its efforts to expand its product range. The Chinese brand will soon introduce the Redmi Turbo 5 model. Reports so far suggest the product will have upper-mid-range features. The latest developments reveal when the phone might be announced.
When will the Redmi Turbo 5 be announced?
According to reliable industry source Smart Pikachu, the upcoming Redmi Turbo 5 model will be announced in December of this year. The source also revealed some of the phone’s technical specifications.

The Redmi Turbo 5 will be the first phone in the world to use the Dimensity 8500 chipset. It will also come with a flat 6.67-inch OLED LTPS panel supporting 1.5K resolution. Furthermore, the device will feature a metal middle frame and a battery with a capacity of around 7,000mAh.
It’s stated that the POCO X8 Pro, which will be released globally, will be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 5. As you may know, Xiaomi rebranded and sold the Redmi Turbo 4, which was introduced in China at the beginning of 2025, as the POCO X7 Pro in markets outside of China. This detail largely supports the rebranding claim.
The Turbo 5 Pro, which will be released next year, is expected to have a larger 6.83-inch screen, similar to the Turbo 4 Pro. This model will come with a battery larger than 8,000mAh with 100W charging support and will be sold under the name Poco F8 in the global market.
