The first information about Qualcomm’s new generation flagship chipset Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 has emerged. According to the latest information, the product will be introduced at the end of September. The first smartphones carrying this processor are planned to be released in October.
Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 will be introduced soon
The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 model offers a significant performance increase compared to its predecessor Snapdragon 8 Elite. The base frequency of the processor was increased to 4.4 GHz, while a completely renewed second-generation custom CPU architecture was used.

In addition, with the improvements made to the graphics unit, the GPU’s custom cache capacity was increased from 12MB to 16MB. With this update, it is aimed to provide an increase of approximately 30% in total performance.
TSMC’s third-generation 3nm technology is used in the production process. Thus, 4% higher performance and 9% lower power consumption are achieved compared to the previous generation.
The phones that will be the first to use Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 are also starting to become clear. Xiaomi 16 and Xiaomi 16 Pro models will be the first devices to carry this new chipset. In addition to these, Redmi K90 Pro, Realme GT 8 Pro, OnePlus 14, iQOO 14, Xiaomi 16 Ultra, Vivo X300 Ultra and Oppo Find X9 Ultra models are also expected to be released with Snapdragon 8 Elite 2.
