An interesting claim was made about Spotify Turkey the other day. According to the allegations, the music giant had launched an investigation into its editors in Turkey. Recently, some artists and users, in particular, had filed various complaints about the way its playlists were created. In such a climate, the allegations of an investigation were quite strong. However, Spotify released a statement today.
In its official statement, Spotify stated:
“At Spotify, we take great care in our music programming and help listeners discover millions of new artists worldwide.
While the recent reports targeting our editors and music team are untrue, we continue to cooperate with the Competition Board as part of its ongoing investigation.”
Following Spotify’s statement, it was revealed that the allegations were false. These blackout reports against the editors have also been quelled.
