Foldable models have become quite popular in the smartphone world. Many phone and tablet manufacturers continue to introduce new products in this field. Samsung, one of the most important names in the foldable device frenzy, wants to maintain this impact in the tablet world as well.
Galaxy Z Fold Tab to be introduced alongside the Galaxy Tab S9 series
A source named Revegnus shared a news report on Twitter stating that the release of the tri-fold tablet is closer than expected. According to the report, the Galaxy Z Fold Tab will be introduced alongside the Galaxy Tab S9 series, which is set to be released this year.
The source claims that if the model does not meet this deadline, it will be introduced alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in 2024. On the other hand, detailed information about the device has not yet emerged. Based on the limited information available, the tablet will have a 10-inch or larger screen.
The information states that it will be produced at a higher cost than the Galaxy Z Fold 4 model. On the other hand, some sources say that the company’s plans could be based on beating Apple. Indeed, Apple will launch its first foldable models in 2024. Samsung wants to minimize the impact of this ambitious entry with the same timing.
However, the source says that the likelihood of the foldable Samsung tablet being released alongside the Galaxy Tab S9 is more likely. Ice Universe shared the key technical features of the upcoming Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra model. Accordingly, the tablet will have the same dimensions as its predecessor, the Tab S8 Ultra. On the other hand, it will feature a 14.6-inch WQXGA+ display and will be powered by an 11,200 mAh battery capable of charging at 45W speeds. The model is expected to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is specially produced for Samsung.
