GTA Online recently introduced the San Andreas Mercenaries update. While the update brought changes to the storyline and added new options to the interaction menu, there was one significant change that left players unhappy.
Over 180 cars have been removed from GTA Online
Rockstar Games had previously announced that they would remove some less-used vehicles, but it appears they have done much more than that. Players have noticed that a total of 180 vehicles have been removed from the game, which has caused a lot of frustration. Among the removed vehicles are popular cars like the Stirling GT, Comet Retro Custom, and Infernus.
What has angered players even more is that most of the removed vehicles could be purchased through the Vinewood Car Club accessible to GTA+ members. In this section exclusively available to GTA+ members, 10 vehicles would be showcased each week for purchase. It seems that the game company has included these previously announced vehicles in the subscription service.
GTA Online players are disappointed that vehicles they could previously access for free are now included in the subscription service. Players who already own the removed vehicles can still use them, but new players will need to be GTA+ subscribers to use these cars.
Rockstar Games, in a previous announcement, stated that the removal of vehicles aimed to enhance the shopping experience. However, the company did not mention including the removed cars in the subscription system in that statement. In their recent announcement, the company revealed that the removed vehicles can be obtained through various chance-based activities.
