Microsoft continues to deliver delightful news for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Finally, it announced that six more games will be added to the library in August. However, some popular titles like Death Stranding are being removed from Game Pass.
Xbox Game Pass August games
Microsoft has announced the first games that will be added to Xbox Game Pass on console, PC and cloud in the first half of August. The August list is notable for featuring more indie titles. These include Celeste, A Short Hike, Broforce Forever, Limbo and Airborne Kingdom.
In addition to indie games, the popular space game Everspace 2 will be coming to the library on August 15. These games will be followed by other titles in the second half of August. However, Death Stranding, Total War: Warhammer III and Midnight Fight Express will also be leaving Game Pass.
The first six titles on the Xbox Game Pass August list are as follows:
- Celeste (Cloud, Console and PC) – August 1
- A Short Hike (Cloud, Console, PC) – August 3
- Broforce Forever (Cloud, Console and PC) – August 8
- Limbo (Cloud, Console and PC) – August 9
- Airborne Kingdom (Cloud, Console and PC) – August 10
- Everspace 2 (Cloud and Xbox Series X|S) – August 15

Microsoft plans to add more high-profile titles in the second half of the month. Currently, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Sea of Stars are confirmed. Bigger titles such as Starfield, Payday 3 and Lies of P are expected in September.
